                Sounds On Grief

Sounds On Grief is a multidisciplinary project that offers a fresh lens on the processes and reflections of grief.

On November 1st, 2024, Belgian store and label Objects & Sounds has released Sounds on Grief, a multidisciplinary project initiated by @objectsandsounds 's Allie Hatch. A collection of sounds, poems, and visuals from 21 individuals around the world that reflects, unpacks and feels through and around grief.
Released in the form of a book, a collection of visuals and a digital music release, this work is just as multilayered and intimate as grief itself.

As part of Sounds on Grief, Nuria Ribas and me contributed a track, Life Without, a piece that weaves together our words and sounds into a non-linear storyline of our own grief. The result is a humble trip, featuring field recordings, the fragility of strings, and words dissecting the wounds of death in our hearts.

“Grief stuck to us, so we listened, and made a tale in return. There’s poetry in the ashes and that’s what we chose to tell.
