Collaboration with Xico Ribas for Clara Grosjean’s dance and coreography porject 2023
“A hybrid artwork, both visual and choreographic, plastic and alive, Noir Vanille is a multifaceted work. Its materiality is made of two dancing bodies and a « brain » sculpture. Crafted out of doll heads with long hair, it is a twin brain with space for two performers’ head. This object is nourishing, resisting, and constraining the movements, which bring the choreographic work to new challenges. The movement comes from the interactions and co-existing between the brain and the two bodies. Exploring the duality, the forms of relationships, we see the space in between the bodies like an invisible matter that links them.” ( Clara Grosjean)
Noir Vanilla project is funded by Maker zoekt Maker on its ninth edition. The composed the music is a result of a collaboration between Xico Ribas and Bea Álvarez.
